Kempinski Grand Hotel, St. Moritz

The Kempinski Grand Hotel das Bains in St. Moritz is a classic turn of the century 5-star Grand Hotel with 184 rooms and suites, originally built in 1864 as the very first hotel in St. Moritz at the source of the "Mauritius Springs". It was completely renovated in 2002 and today, the Kempinski in St. Moritz is blending local style and tradition with contemporary design to ensure a unique experience. The hotel is located in st. Moritz "Bad" (Bains) adjacent to the Health Center and near the Sports Center, directly opposite the "Signalbahn" gondola for accessing the ski slopes, which also end right at the hotel's doorstep as do the cross country trails. The facilities at the Kempinski Grand Hotel include 3 restaurants: the "Les Saisons" (with 14 Gault Millau Points) for fine international cuisine, the Italian Gourmet restaurant "Ca d'Oro" (with 15 Gault Millau Points), and the "Enoteca", the hotel's lifestyle restaurant and bar for a variety of pastas and a nice selection of wines. All rooms were recently renovated with modern cherry woods furnishings; all rooms have mountain views, some with balcony. The bathroom has a bathtub and separate shower cabin (some with bathtub including shower), ground heating, towel heating, hairdryer, scales, bathrobe and slippers. All rooms at the Kempinski Grand Hotel are equipped with flat-screen Cable- and Pay-TV, radio, direct dial-in/dial-out phone with voice mail, data-port with modem and ADSL for internet access, writing table with free internet access (DSL), a safe with power access and a mini-bar. These rooms either feature two Twin Beds (separated or pushed together) or one King-size Double Bed; smoking / non-smoking rooms are available on request.

By Public Transportation:
After arrival at the St. Moritz Railway Station, either get a taxi, or call the hotel for the courtesy shuttle.

By Car:
- Coming from Silvaplana (Julierpass): when reaching St. Moritz, turn right at the roundabout (right at the "St. Moritz" sign), into the "Via Mezdi"-street - the hotel is right there!

- Coming through the Veraina-Tunnel via Zernez, Zuoz and Samedan, drive through St. Moritz "Dorf" towards St. Moritz "Bad" and Silvaplana; at roundabout before leaving St. Moritz, turn left into Via Mezdi and you will see the Kempinski Grand Hotel.
