Hotel Waldstaetterhof, Lucerne

The Hotel Waldstaetterhof is a nostalgic 3-star superior hotel with 79 rooms. It is centrally located just across the street from the railway station and a 5-minute walk to the Old Town. Also a few steps away you will find beautiful Lake of Lucerne, the pier for excursions by ship and the Culture & Congress Center. Shopping and souvenir stores are close-by, too. The facilities of the Hotel Waldstaetterhof include a restaurant for traditional Swiss and International Cuisine.






Description of Double Standard Room:
All rooms at the Hotel Waldstaetterhof include noise-abating windows. The Standard Rooms are traditionally furnished and some have a balcony with view of the street and city life. Bathrooms have a bathtub incl. shower (some with shower only), and a hairdryer is provided. All rooms are equipped with Cable-TV, radio, telephone (with analog modem for fax and Internet connection), and a safe. The rooms feature 2 twin-size beds (pushed together); smoking / non-smoking rooms are available on request.



Description of all other Rooms:
Single Standard: smaller room with 1 twin-size bed; bathroom with shower only.

Triple Standard: larger Double Room with additional bed

Single, Double & Triple Superior: same size as Standard Rooms, but newly renovated and equipped with a blend of modern and traditional furniture. Each room is individually decorated in a contemporary style featuring wooden floors, a flat-screen TV and coffee & tea making facilities.

Junior Suite: large Superior Room with a working desk and sitting area.

Directions on how to get there:
By Public Transportation:
After arrival at the Lucerne Railway Station, walk to your left towards the Exit; then cross the street and walk approx. 50 meters to your left where you will find the entrance of the Hotel Waldstaetterhof.

By Car:
- Coming from Zurich, Basel or Berne: take Highway exit "Luzern" and stay in the left lane. At the 3rd traffic light the street will make a left turn and from there keep heading straight to the railway station. You will see a McDonald’s restaurant on your right near the railway station. Make a turn at the back of the railway station to get on the “Zentralstrasse”, then turn right on the first side street with the McDonald’s restaurant, and you will see the Hotel Waldstätterhof on the left side. There’s an iron gate next to the “Räberhof” where you ring the bell to enter the parking lot.

- Coming from Gotthard (Italy) or Interlaken: take Highway exit „Luzern-Süd“, turn right at the traffic light following signs “Luzern-See“ (stay in the right lane). Then right at the third intersection following signs “Verkehrshaus / Küssnacht“; follow this street to the roundabout at “Bundesplatz” and continue straight on the “Zentralstrasse” towards “Bahnhof” (= railway station). Make a turn at the back of the railway station to get back on the “Zentralstrasse”, then turn right on the first side street with the McDonald’s restaurant, and you will see the Hotel Waldstätterhof on the left side. There’s an iron gate next to the “Räberhof” where you ring the bell to enter the parking lot.
