PALACE LUZERN, Lucerne  The Palace Luzern is a luxurious, traditional 5-star hotel with 136 rooms and suites located on the shores of Lake Lucerne and framed by an idyllic alpine landscape. The Old Town of Lucerne is only five minutes away and the Railway Station about 10 minutes. The Palace features two restaurants: "Les Artistes" offering the rich breakfast, and dinners for guests on the "Dine-In" plan and includes the new garden terrace located directly on the pictoresque promenade overlooking Lake Lucerne, and the exclusive  "Jasper" (16 GaultMillau points) with a creative, international cuisine. Additional amenities include the "Palace-Bar" with nightly piano music entertainment, recently renovated stylish halls with the hotel's original magnificent marble floor, several meeting and event rooms, the parking garage, and the new "Palace Spa" with fitness studio, saunas, steam rooms, showers and fountains, relaxation areas and various "ESPA" treatments (massages, facials, body wraps).Description of Double Standard Room:  The Standard Room at the Palace Luzern is called "City View" - the rooms with approx. 24 square meters are facing north and have a view of the city (without balcony). All rooms are decorated in smooth pastel colors and individually furnished with Belle-Époque furniture. The bathroom has a bathtub including shower (some with separate bathtub and shower), and a hair-dryer, bath amenities, bathrobe and slippers. All rooms are equipped with Satellite- & Pay-TV, phone with ISDN-connection and voice mail, wireless LAN Internet connection, air conditioning, mini-bar and safe. All rooms have 2 twin-size beds (separated or pushed together); rooms with a queen-size or a king-size bed are available on request; smoking / non-smoking rooms are also available on request.Description of all other Rooms: Single Room: = single occupancy of the Double City View or the Double Deluxe Room. Double Deluxe: spacious room (approx. 30 square meters)with spectacular view of Lake Lucerne and the Alps; some of the rooms have recently been renovated to reflect the original Belle- Époque style of the hotel. Most rooms have air-conditioning, balcony or terrace. Junior Suite: (approx. 40 square meters) with separated sitting area with city or lake view; some of the rooms have recently been renovated to reflect the original Belle- Époque style of the hotel. Deluxe Junior Suite: more spacious Junior Suite (40 - 50 square meters); located on the top floors  Suite of Arts: Extravagant suite (approx. 75 square meters) with high spacious rooms decorated with works by Miró, Kandinsky and Chagall (reproductions). Palace Suite: truely noble suite (approx. 70 - 105 meters) that lives up to its name; superb vistas from the terrace on Lake Lucerne, the Alps and Lucerne's pictoresque Old Town.
